On Tuesday, March 18, 2025, Kaliek Goode-Ford, 35, was sentenced to life without parole in Orange County Court by Judge Craig Stephen Brown, according to Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler.
Goode-Ford was convicted in January of all charges against him, including three counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and weapons possession, for the 2020 massacre in Newburgh.
During the trial, prosecutors detailed how Goode-Ford entered a home and shot and killed Jimmy Crisantos, 27, Shatavia Crisantos, 26, and Giovanni Tambino, 9, the son of Shatavia from a previous relationship. He also tried killing a three-year-old boy who later survived by shooting him five times.
After the cold-blooded attack, he discarded the murder weapon into the Hudson River, prosecutors said.
District Attorney Hoovler condemned Goode-Ford’s actions as "truly irredeemable" and praised investigators for their work in securing justice.
"A prison sentence nothing short of forever is the only acceptable sentence in this case and, thankfully, was the one imposed,” Hoovler said.
